I also noticed a plist file under library/launch agents to run the daemon that I didn’t notice before. However the folder was created and it has he defaults.xml file, but not the airprintdaemon copy.

I turned it off and removed all the associated files before re-installing this time (using uninstaller from Clean my Mac).Īfter installing again v2.1b2 I noticed that the copy of airprintdaemon that was located under user/library/application support/airprint activator folder was no longer there (I was expecting it there but this time being the v113). When I checked the version of the file I noticed it was from v2.0b16 (v111) and not the daemon from v2.1b2 (v113) When I checked the associated files that were installed I noticed a copy of the airprint daemon located under user/library/application support/airprint activator folder. I installed v2.0b16 by mistake thinking it was the newest version, so I removed it (just deleted the app) and installed the newest v2.1b2 since I wanted to use the firewall file. Attempts to print to the other two WiFi color printers/scanners only shows the 1st message, which disappears after ~3 minutes and, again, no printouts. Tried turning AirPrint “Off” and “On”, tried printing to each of the printers, and it seems to come closer to working when Firewall is on with AirPrint allowed in Security Advanced settings: get messages for each printer that “Printing to…Contacting Printer”, which stays on for ~3 minutes, then for the USB printer it says it is “Preparing to Print…1 of 8 pages” though my print job is only 1 page, which then the 2nd message disappears, but nothing prints and the printer does not show any sign of a send to it.
